With over 20 years’ experience, Global Research provides quantitative and qualitative market and social research for commercial and public organisations. We continuously improve our work and expand our reputation.

In 2011, the Christchurch earthquake forced us to relocate and refocus our efforts. While maintaining our high-quality research, we also began supporting public engagement to inform decision-making in the city's rebuild. We quickly became leaders in public engagement design, delivery, and analysis.

Global Research’s evolution

In 2003, we completed critical research for the Department of Conservation, surveying visitors' perceptions of accessible and remote tracks. We collected 4,500 survey responses over three seasons, providing valuable insights for recreation decision-making. Check this project out here.

Following the devastating 6.3 earthquake in Christchurch, we shifted our research focus to support the city's recovery. Patrick contributed by supporting the analysis of the Share an Idea initiative, which generated 106,000 ideas for the city rebuild in just eight weeks. This experience highlighted the challenge of effectively reporting on diverse forms of community engagement.

Since the earthquakes, we have completed over 150 engagement projects, including more than 50 for the City of Melbourne. Our qualitative analysis approach extends beyond community engagement to include information such as customer surveys, focus groups, social media, and Tripadvisor posts, enabling us to extract insights from vast amounts of information to inform our clients’ decision making.

We also continue to conduct market and social research for commercial businesses, government departments, and councils across Australasia. Regardless of the challenge, we are committed to delivering quality results for our clients.
